Baseball teams don’t use every player the same way every game. Starters take scheduled days off. Sometimes a player gets sick or injured. And when the moment calls for it, the manager turns to a pinch hitter, a defensive specialist, or a late‑inning reliever — someone ready to step in and serve the team.
Pastoral ministry works the same way.
There are Sundays when a pastor needs rest. There are unexpected moments when illness or family needs arise. And there are seasons when a church needs a steady voice during transition or a fresh call to renewal. My role is simply to serve in those moments — not as the star of the team, but as a teammate who is ready when the moment calls for a certain kind of help.
When time permits, I’m also willing to visit a church beforehand to get a sense of the congregation, the culture, and the needs of the moment. My desire is always to serve in a way that fits the heart of the church and supports the pastor’s vision.
I’m available for scheduled pulpit supply, short‑notice fill‑ins, interim preaching, and revival meetings. My heart is to preach Christ faithfully, strengthen the church, and give pastors space to breathe and lead well. I do not require an honorarium. My aim is to see the name of Christ lifted up, and I trust the Lord to provide.
